I'm a comlete car newbie. I just purchased a 1990 Z4 sDrive s23i I think! No original User Manual. On the side of the car just below the BMW symbol, it says "sDrive 25i". Trying to research this car model, I cannot find an s25i model from 2009. Is there an easy way to use the20240411_150009.jpg VIN number to determine the exact model and year of this car?

Somebody probably rebadged a 23i as a 25i since it does technically have a 2.5L engine
Seems the "5" is not perfectly in line with the rest of the badge too, which seems to support the rebadge theory

Or been ‘tapped’ in the rear and the body shop got it wrong.
