Where do I start?

Hey, I just did an engine swap on my e36, from a m50b25 to a stroked out m50b28. I've got a 413 ecu and I want to learn to tune it myself as I know I will always be changing setups and adding power. I am just having trouble finding information. Where did you guys learn?

Honestly, if you can run that on a standalone ECU that can be flashed, you'll be much better off. The DME you have would require burning data to a chip every time you want to make a change, and if you're trying to learn, it'll be very cumbersome.

That and data logging on those old ECUs is horrible.

Yeah, standalone is definitely something I want to invest in in the near future, but now I have an emulator that allows me to make real time changes and not have to burn a chip. Definitely something to start with
