Question Rear Leak right onto fuse box

    Hello to all,

I discovered a water leak right above my fuse box in the trunk, it seems to becoming from or above the highlighted screw in the attachment. I assume its a bad window seal, but checking here to double check.

    Thanks!

You might be wrong, it could be coming from the tail light. Pull the tail light out and check for cracks on the inner housing. I have a thread telling all wagon owners to check their tail lights, the bulbs run too hot and eventually melt the housing, and then cracks form up when the plastic gets too thin. The cracks are out side of the sealed section, when you get a ton of rain, water comes in through the cracks.

I'd suspect the telephone antenna seal on the roof. Replace if cracked or dry rotted.

But if it was the seal on that roof antenna, it would pool up on the headliner before rolling off down the side? Wouldn’t it have a wet spot in the cloth?

Speaking of which…. If somebody in the corridor between NJ and the Washington DC, Northern Vagina area has a spare wagon headliner for sale, or for giveaway, let me know for craps sakes! Doesn’t have to be perfect, as long as the hard board backing is straight, not all buggered up, I’ll take it. The one I had in storage had something come down on it, so it’s a bit buggered up now.
