Non-matching Carbon Fiber (i5 M50)

I took delivery of a 2024 i5 M60 and selected the new silver thread carbon fiber interior, and the exterior M carbon fiber package however, to my dismay they do not match. I’m writing this because BMW of America just called me to tell me they will do nothing about it and that this is an intentional design.

Is anyone else out there aware of this horrible design flaw?

Did the BMW materials say that the silver thread CF would match the pattern of the exterior CF? Or did you make that assumption? And did you see any samples of it in person, either on the display wall or on a car at the dealership?

The only rendition of the CF thread patterns are displayed online during the built process. There were no examples available as far back as the date I made the design selection online. I regret to admit my assumption in fact was that BMW would not provide non-matching CF options for the same car. It is too bad that BMW USA believes this is my fault as well, ya know what they say about assuming…

Yeah, that looks like the standard 3k 2x2 for the exterior.
