    Fuse 48

Chasing a non working hvac blower motor on a 1997 328. I replaced the blower motor and it still won’t work. It does work if I supply voltage at the blower resistor. Fuses are good, relays are good, but I cannot find fuse 48 that is supposedly under the driver kick panel somewhere. Anyone have a better idea where to find it?

Fuse 48 on 1997 328 is in relay panel under LH side of dashboard, along with the crash control module, high beam light relay, see page 0670.0-01 , more details in section component location views http://wedophones.com/Manuals/BMW/19...g%20Manual.pdf

In the link that Shogun provided, the Aux Fuse Panel is found on Page 17 of his link, the diagram shows a relay panel with 5 relays, F48 is attached to the outboard edge of the panel.

    Furthermore, the Bentley manual says,

The panel is located next to the steering column under the driver's side dashboard. Remove the dash panel then the knee bolster, lower the relay panel by releasing the retainers.

I’m in the same boat. Can’t fine fuse 48 under the dash for the life of me. Still haven’t. I’m starting to believe it’s not there. We need pictures of its location.

interesting, here for a Z3, fuse 48 yes or no depends on the engine, 4 or 6 cylinders, maybe same on E36? see almost at the end of the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhJ4HjbgRBk

I never found fuse 48. Issue was a faulty blower resistor which had me stumped because I’ve always seen them fail with certain speeds, but still work on full speed. I also was getting 12 volts at the blower motor connector.
