I used the reader and there are no error codes. When you turn the blower switch on the fan just runs on slow on all speeds. When you push the AC button it does nothing. Could someone help me?
Another other post ( seems to be yours) refers to transport mode being issue.
Transport mode can be initiated by low voltage. Check your battery hot/cold (Google if unsure what that means) and check alternator output…
Use the following or similar voltage reader for cold voltage….voltage idling and when engine is at higher rpm.
Car USB Charger, 5V 2.1A Fast Charging 3in1 USB Car Charger Adapter, Dual Led Digital Display Built-in Voltmeter Thermometer Universal Car Cigarette Lighter for 12V-24V Cars, SUVs, Trucks (Blue+red) https://a.co/d/gx7p5Q7
Google … Z4 transport mode…. for more insight and posts to help you understand cause and symptoms….

I purchased this on Amazon Amazon.com: Creator C410 OBD2 Scanner for BMW Mini EPB ABS SRS DPF Oil Reset CBS Reset Battery Registration Full Systems OBDII Fault Code Reader Diagnostic Scan Tool [New Version Update of Creator C110+ C310+] : Toys & Games
It is suppose to reset battery if changed or low. Would that fix Transport mode?

That model… highly doubt it.

Read carefully…
Still cheaper to download ISTAD and purchase a switchable cable to connect laptop to car OBED2 port. Plus full capability plus TIS support.
My thoughts…. Hand held for basic readable codes… software to actually delve into the problem/ error code.
I’m driving right now with a Bluetooth dongle in the OBED2 port and use “Car Scanner” app to clear an engine code popping up occasionally. It’s for the evap system and this one is solved by tightening gas cap. Annoying… but I also used my software to diagnose the issue and causes …. Plus… reading this forum which noted the gas cap being a cause.
