    Question Bmw 1994 325i E36 Diff problem

I just had my rear axels on my 1994 bmw 325i sedan and diff swapped to a 318i differential (3.38) after I blew the stock 325i axels and diff. I had to change axels too so it would fit splines . My rear passenger axel started to bind/the boot was getting all wrapped up not spinning where it connects to the diff(welded). This was after around 6 hours after I got the car back and drifting/driving the car hard for a good amount of time. My axel had a lot of play in it and I thought I had just blew my axels again. Got a new one and replaced it, within the first 20 minutes of normal driving my CV boot was getting wrapped up again the exact same way and eventually disengaged and broke on the inside of the axel. It makes a weird thudding noise and when I gas it into high Rpm I get pulled to the right and it feels like I have no control over the car. I've heard a few different things but I'm just gonna do a new diff and axels again maybe go to a 4.44 ratio and then do wheel bearings the wheel where the broken axel is has a lot of play in it. Just wanted to see if anyone knew or had any advice to keep this from happening or why its happening? I will also post some pictures and lmk if you have any questions to help me out. I was wondering if maybe it just wasn't engaging with the diff? Maybe the 318i diff cant handle it? I have no clue so anything would help and any recommendations to keep my car from breaking when I'm at the track ect.

Welded diff and the fact that you swapped to a small case might both be the issue. I'd honestly go back to a medium case diff as they're much stronger than the small case you're now running. Why exactly your axles are doing that, don't know...but imagine it's because the small case swap perhaps wasn't done properly.

Ok, I'm going to pick up a 325i sedan diff and axels today and drop my small case diff and look inside i'll lyk how it goes and take some pictures. Thanks a lot!
