Need Help With a Part # - 1997 1.9L

I am looking for assistance with a part #. I have poked around in REALOEM, but cannot find the correct diagram.

1997 roadster, 1.9L with 5 speed manual.

To the passenger side of the engine, there is some sort of electronic module It is rectangular in shape with a round twist connector for the wires on the back end towards the firewall. See the photo. (which is not from my car)

I have managed to lose the lid/cover and need a replacement.

That is your ignition coil. Unfortunately I don’t think the cover is sold separately. Look for someone parting out an M44.

The entire interior of the housing is filled with some sort of solid gel material.

Am I OK without the cover, or is that not a good idea ?
