    VEMS e30 M20B27

    Hi everyone,

I decided to pick up working on my e30 again after 11 years. The setup is as follows:
Overhauled engine with M20B27 bottom and m20b25 head for lower compression.
    VEMS motormanagement.
    Standard e30 injectors 188cc
Opel omega wasted spark coil. 3-2
The goal is to make the car first run on this base setup and then continue with a holset turbo.

    Questions:
-Is there anyone that has the same setup that is willing to share his config file? I'd like to have a good base setup for the ignition map.
    Highly appreciated.

-Are power resistors needed for the injectors as they are low resistance?

Time to clean up the spaghetti in the engine bay now.

Anyone that has a config file for VEMS willing to share for the m20B27?

Wish I could help I have VEMS OBD2 ecu in my e30 but it's s50 swapped have you tried reaching out to the VEMS FB group lots of guys on there with different set ups willing to help or give you some insight at least.

VEMS should've sent you a base config file to get you started in the right direction at least enough for you to take it to a tuner.

Thanks for the help, Ill reach out to the facebook page. I noticed the vemssupport website became obsolete or something, use to be a thing back in the day. I had it running on VEMS back 11 years ago so I do have a base setup. But I am noticing that I definitely have less power than with the chipped motronic ECU that I had back then. I think its due to the mild/safe ignition advance config.
I am planning to turbo the car in a while so I'd like to skip the tuner for now.

yeah I've only had VEMS for a year and from what I can tell unless you reach out to them directly through IG or their website for tuning support. The FB group guys are your next best thing, I would just upload a pic of your Ignition table and see what they think.
