I have a 97 328is M52 that I rebuilt the head on. Everything is bolted and connected but now It won’t start. It will crank over and kick on for a second then die. Can’t pull codes as it has been sitting without a battery for 3+ years and hasn’t completed a proper start up. Gas is at a quarter tank with 1yr old gas in it, put some HEET and 91 and no change.
Fuel Pressure is at 53psi at the rail and no change when disconnecting the FPR Vacuum line
Disconnected line going to vacuum canister/tee and no change.
Any ideas on what this could be will help. I plan on getting a new fuel pump, filter, FPR and seal/pintle kit for injectors soon as they are wear items and I’m sure it’ll help.
I’ll record a video of start up later
Possible the injectors are clogged. When people put to much gas stabilizer it can turn the gas to a gel, but not HEET that's just alcohol.
Scan for codes, use inpa (software is free in the z3 diagnostics thread) get a cable and 20pin round adapter.

Managed to get the car running but only under throttle. Was able to scan codes as it was running and timing is fine but there was a Cylinder #6 misfire. Replaced the coil pack with a fresh one and it would idle but at 400rpm and shitty. Replaced all the Bosch injectors with new oem and the car finally holds idle. I have an exhaust leak that I need to fix but other than that she seems great!!!
Just so you know China OEM style injectors are problematic (junk) and will leak.

Curious where you bought the injectors from.
