1M Sirius radio question - first post

I am considering the purchase of a 2011 1M. The car was optioned only with heated seats - no NAV or Sirius - but I understand all BMWs from 2010 have the capability to receive Sirius through some process. I've done some research this morning but honestly find it a bit confusing as to the process and equipment needed. Most posts I found on the subject are from the era when this car was new, and perhaps (and hopefully) there is newer technology to make this happen? Thank you!
