Hi pros.
The Hydraulic power steering on my E34 has worn. I looked around and found used one, I installed it but it makes not so much improvement. You know every used ones have been in service for long time. And it is impossible to find brand new E34 Hydraulic power steering.
So, I am thinking about Solution to replace HYDRAULIC POWER STEERING BOX by a new one, for exp, Hydraulic power steering of another model that can fit to my E34.
If pros have done it, please share.

Benchwork Steering Systems used to be the place I go to to have a steering box re-machined to correct specs, but it seems they no longer offer this service. The steering box itself has a lot of parts but isn't actually difficult to understand. The only place that wears down (typically) is the "sector gear" and the other parts it directly touches.
You can disassemble the steering box yourself at home, it's not a huge deal, just have organizing boxes/bags on hand so you can keep track of all the parts. Once you have taken everything apart, look at everything. If only the "Bell Nut" and "Sector Gear" are worn down, you're in luck - you can take these two parts to a precision machine shop and they can re-cut the gear teeth to mesh correctly without play. If the balls are loose in the worm gear itself, this is fixable (by cutting the worm gear larger to accept new, larger balls) but this will be $$$ expensive. If the balls are damaged, just measure out what size they are and buy new balls.
If other things are worn or damaged like guides, then you're probably out of luck and have to start with another used steering box. Good luck.
Many thanks to @circuit.heart.
So find a new steering box for E34 is impossible.
I will disasemble to check inside. Hope that only Bell Nut and/or Sector Gear be worn.
