So my Mom calls me up, knowing I'm a budding bimmerphile, tells me she just saw the cutest car and tells me it's for sale.
My Mom is, well, I'm 50 today so she's up there. I'm still waiting on a VIN but she said the current (2nd) owner bought it from someone in New York and had it sent to his home in Arizona where it was stored indoors as he Refurbished it. As with any good project, this one took some time and Mr. 2nd owner finished about the time he was too old to enjoy it. He's selling it.
New brakes, struts, all the running gear including new a drive shaft. He's asking $18k and I have some pics but am not sure how to post them. Send me a message with an email and you can have the 5 my Mom sent me.
The car looks good to me, like she's a wash job away from stunning.
Cheers

I inherited my mom’s (bought new) ‘74 Inka 2002A about 13 years ago, and its still in dry storage where it was 16 years before it became mine. Mine’s showing about 4,000 miles on the odometer. I know its 204,000 miles though the car could easily pass for an original 50,000 mile example, and thats with nearly 30 years of storage. The original paint is still excellent. I always question “low” mileage old cars. The roughly 20 years my car was in regular use racked up a lot of miles.
I’m not saying this $18K ‘02 isn’t worth it, but under 100,000 miles on a 50 year old car makes me question the miles. These cars were used and driven when they were young!
