Is it possible to replace only the clutch on a compressor ? Shop says mine is fried. Or do I need to replace the whole she-bang? I have a 96 850ci with R134a.
Thanks

I have done it on other cars but never on my 8
The clutch is not available separately. Dixking around trying to replace it also ignores the probability that the xompressor itself is the reason the clutch went out in the first place. Much smarter to just replace the xompressor completely. Denso Compressors are relatively inexpensive and, as yours is a later example, no bracket change required.
