I had got it up and running like 6 months ago, and then the cable sat in my toolbox for a while since the car was fine, now I need it again and it appears it won’t communicate with any modules after it asks for the vin. My computer does still read the cable in device manager. What could’ve changed?
Did you check COM port number? Windows 10 / 11 loves updating that. It also changes the COM port number and the latency sometimes.

It can be any COM port number, but they have to match in both places.
Also in Device manager, make sure you set the latency to 2ms.
