Alarm wont activate and cant code

Still cant find an answer.
Central locking etc all ok but alarm wont activate. No red blinking clown nose. Tried opening window and putting arm in after 30 seconds but npthing. Bmw say the clown nose should still flash even if a sensor has gone but will flash fast for about 15 seconds. They want £96 just to have a look. No error codes or anything. Fuse in trunk ok. Not sure if theres a relay? Checked vin and car definatly fitted with factory alarm.
Cannot access dwai or dwan modules with ncs. Just get a cannot communicate error. All other modules accessible.
Any ideas please.
