How many spray cans does it take?

So I need to paint the roof on my E38 shorty. Was planning to get the color matched aerosol cans from Paintscratch.com along with the 2K clear. Should be able to tape it along the roof ridges and paint from windshield to back light pretty easily without blending.

My question is how many rattle cans do you think? One each primer, color, clear may not be enough?

Kinda my thought. Just didn’t want to buy extra I have too many spray cans laying around as it is. Or buy too little and get stuck mid job.

Definitely two cans of clear, maybe get a third to have on hand just in case. You want at least two coats of clear and three would be better.

Yeah I'd like to be able to wet sand and buff the thing once painted so more would be good. Probably find some other things to paint as well since my E46 is the same color.
