2002 BMW 540i (E39 chassis)

Full maintenance history since new. I am the third owner and have invested over $6k in parts since October of 2022 to make this car mechanically sound and safe to drive.

All of the common E39 & 540 quirks and failure points have been addressed.

Some of the work completed in the last 6 months using all OE/OEM parts. I can send copies of receipts or the full list of maintenance if you'd like. I have a bunch of other photos. Also, a lot of videos - cold start, acceleration, etc.

-VANOS units resealed (Beisan parts)
-timing chains, timing chain guides, timing chain tensioners all replaced. Engine retimed using GAS tools.
-valley pan & gasket replaced
-ALL cooling system components replaced (including hoses, radiator, expansion tank, thermostat, transmission oil cooler, water pump)
-valve covers replaced (had corrosion) and resealed
-upper and lower oil pan gasket replaced -all belts and belt tensioners replaced
-new fuel injectors (Bosch)
-new spark plugs
-all filters replaced (engine air, fuel, cabin air)
-F&R windshield seals replaced due to dry rot
-headlight adjusters replaced and headlights polished, new headlight bulbs
-Weathertech mats - front, rear, and trunk
-battery replaced 3 weeks ago
-all power steering hoses replaced -new brake rotors and pads
-brake calipers refinished and seals replaced, fluid flushed
-rear differential fluid changed
-right rear window regulator replaced and door insulation resealed
