    2007 bmw x3 Issues since November 25th

Hello I'm kind of beating my head against the wall on this 2007 BMW X3 basically replaced everything I keep getting traction control flickering here and there. If I clear the ECU everything runs awesome for about 3 days and then I've been getting a mixture code i've smoked tested it I only find a little bit of smoke in the back of the engine which I'm thinking is the PCV under the intake my valve cover is sucking air also to try to correct the DSC I've replaced that. The transmission drives fine when you clear the ecu then it bucks and kicks after 2 or 3 days. I went to the junk yard and bought a 2008 x3 ecu and dme with the immo driver kick pannel. I have the launch xpro scanner is there anyway to get the car to start with that computer? I do not have the immo extra unit but I'm not 100% sure if it's just a vin match or what.
    Thank you,
    Ryan

Vin is not a match from boneyard car to yours.
Man, i wish owners would first come to these forums before buying that 07 just to see the amount of problems/concerns current owners have about that 2nd Gen X3.

Instead of throwing parts at the problem, fix the vacuum leak that you are already aware you have, and the resultant mixture code. Perform some diagnostics behind merely a smoke test, as that will result in fade negatives. Fuel pressure bleed down, DISA tests via ISTA, ignition tuneup, VANOS screen cleaning/replacement, etc. The PCV is integral to the valve cover, so if you used a cheap Amazon cover, you’ll still have issues, especially if the installation was munched or you didn’t remove/install the valvetronic motor correctly.

Any oil leak is an air leak. Look at long term fuel trims at idle. Anything more than +/- 5%, an N52 will hiccup. What are yours?
