My 550i currently has 80k on it, and the valve seals appear to be bad. I am planning on pulling the engine so I can replace them, and while I'm at it I am going to send the heads out to be cleaned up, new valve job, and guides if necessary. I would also like to take care of any other items that are problematic while the engine is out. I am planning on doing the timing chain, belt & tensioner but have heard that there are coolant lines and oil lines that should also be replaced. I would like to know what all I should replace since now would be the best time. Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
all turbo lines (oil and coolant), rear main, oil pan gasket, never really saw tensioners go bad on that car but it wouldnt hurt, all the PCV hoses, make sure to replace the coolant Y pipe aswell, that little thing always leaked.
