    Question E60 Wheel Hub/Bearing Replacement

2007 530i. I need my driver rear wheel hub replacing, after calling a local Indy shop I was quoted $990 for labor and parts. Is this a fair price or a bit outrageous? I am reluctant to even bring my car to a shop as I’ve done all the work on it myself but I do not have the time or tools necessary right now to do this job. Wanted to grab some second opinions.

    Thanks

I did one once on my 08 E61 535xi and it was a pain but I had never done one before. If the Indy shop uses BMW parts, look up the part price. Then divide the rest by their hourly rate to see how many hours they are charging for. In some parts of the country, shops get $200 per hour but in others it is under $100.

Then look at these to get an idea of the work required.
