I recently got my car back from the local shop had to have a new DME built in Germany and shipped to the states, because allegedly using Boot Mod blew it up. My question(s) is the following 1: will not having a battery charger plugged up while uploading my stage 2 tune cause these types of issues if voltage drops from 14V? 2: would uploading Boot Mod and having a corrupt file via BM3 be the sole culprit the removal replacement of my original DME cost me 3,054 dollars. 3rd I reside in South Carolina im between NC & GA does anyone know of any reputable dyno shop with an open schedule that has time to dyno my car? It has a catted down pipe muffler delete my check engine light is on due to it running rich and driving me bonkers, im currently afraid to run my bm3 again hence why I want to dyno and get this professionally done right the 1st time & need guidance to avoid doing that bs again. I had asked a few questions there. I honestly doubt your DME needed to be replaced at all.
We would need a lot more specific info.
What happened? What was it doing when it failed? Why do you say it blew up?
Why did the dealer insist on replacing it? Had you contacted BM3 about it?
