I have a 95 750IL and was taking a short drive one night. After about 10 min the accelerator pedal stopped working, no response at all. The engine runs smooth with no check engine lights. The car is in overall great condition for its age, 104k miles, engine runs great, trans shifts as it should, and almost all electronics work.
I did connect to INPA thinking I might need to reset the throttle adaptations, but it looked like there was and error when I tried to do so. There was also 4 error codes:
115 Error brake switch (BLS d. BTS)
101 control unit error computer 2
50 invalid PWG basic adaptation values in EEPROM 1
51 invalid PWG basic adaptation values in EEPROM 2
Screenshots of everything from INPA can be seen in the link below.
I am really trying to avoid getting it towed to the stealership, but not sure what else to do if no one else has any input. Any help with this would be greatly appriciated.

Those errors looks scary. Recharge the battery and try a battery nap.
I had the no throttle response issue on my 95 I did the footpeddle trottle body reset sync and it worked. That time I also had the Engine failsafe error.
I'll give that a try today. Hoping it's something as simple as that.
Adaptations were the first red flag ....
Try to reset them: adaptation reset.JPGadapt 2.JPGadapt 3.JPG
Simply do this where ever the car is parked.
1. Turn the key to position 2 (ACC)
2. Press down the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor board for 5 seconds (TWICE) with 2-3 seconds in between each press.
3. Turn the car completely off for 10 seconds.
4. Start the car normally and see if she drives.
If this works, you owe me a box of strawberry pop tarts <3

I have tried the battery nap and throttle body adaptation reset multiple times over the past couple of weeks, with no results. I'm thinking maybe the kick down switch isn't working so it won't reset?
Is there any way that anybody knows to check the kickdown switch.
I'm almost at the point of taking it in to the dealership. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
