My question is this... On the late model (2016) N47 engines can you just put the blocking plate over the exhaust manifold to delete the EGR and leave everything else plugged in. Essentially just stopping the exhaust gas from entering and letting the car assume everything is fine? I guess i'm not sure what kinds of information the system is giving to the car. I'd assume the car is telling it when to recirculate and that's all, removing the source of awfulness could do just that? Thoughts? There's definitely a full, and very expensive delete coming later this summer but until then i'd really like to not have to clean my intake again.
You'll get a check engine light if you block it.
With an very knowledgeable tuner, EGR can be closed actively without plates or check engine lights or issues running.
