The throttle on my car is very sensitive, like, when I press pedal or pull cable just by 2mm the engine revs to 2,5-3k rpm.
Also when i start the car and warm it up a bit the idle start to go up and stays at 1200rpm when fully warmed.
Inpa shows error code ''idle speed control valve closing coil''
The obvious parts have been changed at least once - ICV, TPS(twice), MAF, CCV, temp sensor, O2 sensor.
There are NO vacuum leaks, ive checked many times, also all the intake gaskets are new.
Engine is M43b18, year 1996
This is dead end for me, pls send help
In inpa reset adaptations.
You can also open up your DME and check for white oxide corrosion. You can clean it with Deoxit 5% and an old toothbrush, you can spray liberally and scrub everything. Has to be 100% dry before installing.

And?
Post pics if you find white oxide inside your dme.

Hi, so I opened dme up and it looked like brand new, but I still did what you said and brushed everything with toothbrush and electronic spray - no results, also I did reset adaptations and erased error codes which did nothing. ICV error still exists. 'm gonna take the car to mechanic. Till then if you still have any guesses, feel free to inform me.

Unless its a really good and old skool bmw mechanic, they're not going to find the problem.
Aftermarket MAFS are usually junk, that needs to be OEM, if your OEM is Siemens like the rest of us then its very expensive new, they are fine to buy used. There should be two thin film elements when you look inside, it should not be a wire or a resistor when you look inside.
When I first got my car it had weird idle issues kinda like yours, I later found that one of the thin film elements inside the MAFS tunnel was gone, bought a used one and was good. BTW, no codes for this issue.

the MAF was replaced by a used one, no difference in there. It is most likely some broken wires or short circuit in the system, but anyway, thanks for help!
Do you have a tune or anything done performance-wise to the car?
When i had my first M3 I had bought a dinan tuned DME, 3" MAF and throttle body and I figured I could just put the DME in without the equipment (or the 3" MAF without the tune), one of those combinations but the revs were all over the place and it was jumping around. I put the paired 3" MAF with the tuned DME and it worked perfect, but didn't work with the 2.5" OEM MAF. Id make sure you have the right MAF and part number too
To my knowledge it is not chipped, at least the seller said nothing about tuning. Is there a way to check that?
SOLVED: Turns out I have a stretched timing chain which caused misaligned camshaft by almost 1 tooth. This caused the engine to starve air and to run rich. The ECU tries to compensate rich mixture with more air which brings up revs at idle.
