I love my 7 series, this is my 4th one and it was an incredible car until a few weeks ago when it just quit on the freeway. Took it to the dealer where I purchased it pre-certified in 2016 w/ 44k on it. Obviously out of warranty by date as of 2020 but 20k under the 100k certified warranty. Had it serviced @ 79,200 and then 1k miles later its N63 motor is seized. Dealer says they believe the oil pump failed. I have all the service records (dealer only) and now I have a repair cost to replace the new motor @ $24,000. If anyone here can give me any advice or have any useful information I would greatly appreciate it. I haven't been on the forums for many years, so thank you for letting me join back in. And if I can help anyone, just let me know.

Or if anyone knows a local shop in the bay area they would trust for an engine replacement?
Wow, definitely do some research!
Several members on another forum are reporting paying less then $5000 for a complete new engine block assembly from BMW.
This price does not include installation
