If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue

After doing some reading said moderator needs to get 500 miles on the tranny. That process was delayed when it was decided to yank the tranny to upgrade the servo, the boost pressure valve, and put in a wider band so future power adders wouldn’t destroy it. The torque converter was upgraded from the beginning.
All of that is done and it’s back in the car, haven’t completed the 500 miles yet.
Still trying to figure out the software for programming the tranny shift points, shift pressures, etc with minimal directions.

I wonder if John Milner had the same issues?
Falfa did beat him off the line, after all...

I think revisionist history is long overdue here. Jim - maybe you can find someone with a '55 Chevy 150 (or is it a 250) BelAire to race against, only this time the THX138 wins and the Chevy doesn't crash.

    Didn’t Milner have a manual, I don’t remember.

There is a ‘55 in black primer in our local car club. It’s only got a 350 in it, that would be an easy win.
A 210 was the stripped down model. One with a big block would probably weigh 3600lbs, 900+lbs more than my hotrod.
It’s been raining on and off for the last 2 days, maybe tomorrow too so I haven’t been driving it.
Been looking for some different mufflers to quiet it down some, it’s LOUD. That probably won’t happen until after the burnout happens.

Quick update so the post doesn’t get buried to far down.
The tranny is back in, I fixed the shifting issues and have enough of the software figured out so it shifts when I want it too.
I still need to put another 75 miles on it and do the 500 mile oil change, then I can rev it to 6600.
As it is right now the ass end kick out when going into second at 4500 RPM. Should be fun at 6600.
Next Tuesday it goes in for an alignment, then the fun starts.
The new mufflers came in today, I’ll install them when I have time.

F in awesome pic! Love it. That light weight and power must be a hoot. I hope the new muffs pass the wife test. Interested to know what you plan is there.

Great pic! That should be the Lev household personal postcard & XMass card. Maybe you could even put in one of those sound chips with your recorded burnout.

    Looks great, Jim!
I'm sure you've mentioned before but if so I missed it. How is it geared? The scene you pictured would sure inspire me for some flat out running.

I bought two 18” long Cherry Bomb - Disturbing The Peace, Since 1968 mufflers, might not have been a good choice, I can always return them. Also looking at some Vibrant 12” long resonators if I can find room to install them.

The OD is geared at 0.696:1 so at 60 the engine is at 1960RPM. It’s got a 3.55 LSD 8.8 diff.
With no wind resistance it could probably go 200.
Lots of long straight roads out west.

Looks like a proper burnout, when did you get a posi diff?

I returned the pour quality Cherry Bombs today, The ID was suppose to be 2.25”
There’s the exhaust pipe that has an OD of 2.23”, too much slop.
I ordered 2 Borla mufflers today.
