Where to get oem rear sway bushes ?

    Hello,

I’m slowly nursing my 98 3/4/5 back to health and am replacing bushings.

I can’t find anywhere that has the 20 mil rear sway bar bushings ?

I just finished the whole front suspension and I’d like to stay stock, but for some reason I can’t find rear sway bar bushes anywhere ? Fronts were no problem.

If I can’t find oem does anyone have a recommendation for as close to stock as possible ? I assume this part wasn’t shared w the 3 series and so they aren’t available… like control arms.

I think so - it’s showing backordered everywhere. I tried to order a couple places and orders were cancelled with “no eta” . So it’s showing backordered everywhere - fcp, pelican, dealers …. I guess I just didn’t realize rear sway bushes were such an elusive part.

Contact an aftermarket person like Turner and see if they have rubber ones.

I know you want to stay stock but this doesn't strike me as a terrible place to make an exception. You'd never know the difference.

Mine have been on backorder with ECS since August of last year and couldn't seem to get an understanding of what was going on from the sales rep. Leaning towards using my credit for the powerflex option as mentioned above.

poly bushings would be a good alternative. There isn't a lot of articulation with a sway bar to begin with
