Roof not opening from key fob

I've just bought a 2010 23i and the roof doesn't open using the key fob. It did it once and now won't do it at all. Both fobs are charged and the car battery is fully charged. Any ideas?

You have to be pretty close to the car for it to work. Like standing right next to it for me. I saw someone say the salmon relay replaced helped this issue though I don't know why that would be the case.

Did OP find a solution to this issue? My dad has the same issue in his 2009 car and we will try replacing the relays...
