I am hoping to create a Z3 canbus gauge cluster which has an 8000 rpm tach sweep range and 170mph speedometer range. 170mph speedometer range exists from the factory on the S50/S52/S54 models including the S54 canbus cluster. The Z3 did come in an 8000tach sweep range cluster (US S52 and euro S50 for example) but not with canbus to my knowledge
I want it to look like this, but canbus. All canbus clusters appear to have a 7000 or 9000 rpm tach range
There are several "tach offset" type options in NCS, such as "tachometer up/down damping" which has only two options, bmw_ag for non-M engines and bmw_motorsport which lists S50, S50B32 and S54 (I think this might just affect how fast the needle moves?). There is also DZM_OFFSET - Tachometer (RPM) Offset but has only one selectable value of "grundcode_var"
I am wondering if there is any way to accomplish this goal? I am thinking if it can be done, I will need to go a bit deeper than NCS? Any leads on how to do this?
Thanks for any help

I've been told it is not possible as there is no option to make it work and no custom coding for tach range. Someone says with E39 m5 cluster coding data it could maybe be made to work but he is not positive
I am wondering what parameter to take from this meter. I've been tinkering with the M5 before, but that's all I could do with impulse rate. They don't seem to affect mileage calculations.
