Alright, who's bidding?
I used to play a very old computer game called Sports Car GT and this car was on the cover, never thought I would actually see it for sale one day!
Wow!
I've been in that car...
No matter where you go, there you are...
That car is hanging above the toilet in my shop.
What's with the chicken wire all over the front end? Looks terrible
Big rocks..
No matter where you go, there you are...
So close to liquidating it all to bid on that car. Saw the sedan race and changed an order for an Z3 M version to an E36 M3 sedan.
Current BMW
2002 E53 X5 4.6i (4.4 to 4.6 swap)
Former BMWs
1996 BMW Z3
1998 BMW E36 M3 Sedan
2004 BMW E46 M3
And people say a sedan doesn't look great with the high rise wing...
Wow, it is already over 200k, not surprisingly.

It's more race car than m3... a niche car for some rich person to blow money on

If the most successful race car within the rules could be made out of paper mache and bubble gum, that's how they would build it. I've seen one of the PTG cars in person at Daytona, but not this one.
Like many E36's, zip ties are prevalent
TRM Coilovers 670F/895R | BBS LM | Corsa RSC36
I'm afraid not! :')
Fit and finish take time and patience, and I've never met anyone with a race car (from pros all the way down to a brand new race license) who was willing to invest a single minute past "not a disaster" from a purely visual perspective.
The chicken wire in question was probably originally attached with a staple gun.
Look at the pictures - I swear the hood vents are from home depot.
A race car is just a tool, and they get treated like tools. Even this "famous" race car - I love how beat up it is. Click through the pictures and you'll see ample evidence of a life well lived long past is heyday. It's been living a good life, still spending lots of time on track.
These things need to be driven to remain viable.
Hopefully the new owner doesn’t ruin it by parking it in a climate controlled garage and wiping it with a diaper.
Just trying to broaden your guys definition of quality past looking at panel gaps and checking for matching VINs, aesthetics isn't the only judgement of build quality. .
I feel better now about the zip ties on my E36 M3….
