Just happened to run into a 2000 Jag, super charged, double OHC V6 Stype with only 65K on it. It still looked and drives like new. I found it in Sun City which is a retirement community. It was priced as almost a give away and I couldn't say no.

No harm done, that's for sure. Those cars are a great combo of Jag style, Brit character, and Ford engineering IMHO. I think the future will be quite kind to them, though only the XJR has become a collectible. The styling was criticized by some overrated Brit blowhard, but I felt it was a graceful reboot of the 60s S Type/Mark II. I'd bet the sales success of the S Type allowed them to keep their heads above water long enough to develop the next generation, despite tremendous competition from the E39 and W211.
My Dad bought Mum the closely related Lincoln LS brand new. The 3.9L DOHC Jag V8 was a gem. It ran until Mom traded it in. I felt it was an underrated car, though the automatic transmission was poorly programmed. The S Type is prettier and more comfortable.
I think the only truly massive flaw with these cars was the exhaust manifolds, right? Nevermind, I think that the earlier DOHC inline-6.
Save the manuals!

Is there any other way? Just took my ongoing resto of my 6, out to get some more break in miles on it.. It is a total nut and bolt resto. Still has a way to go, but I am driving it to various cars and coffee meets on the weekend. My car has a "warmed up" M90 motor and though I haven't gone over 5K revs, it goes like stink. Another 200 miles and it will visit the dyno
