I have a 1990 E30 with an engine that I'm looking to have rebuilt, or in the very least, have the head put on. I am located in the Gulf Coast area of south Alabama and am willing to travel a reasonable distance (within 8 hours) to have this done. Looking for a shop known for solid work and that specializes in BMWs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, yes...I can certainly rebuild an engine to whatever spec you like. However, my shop is short one tech right now, and, well, engine rebuilds are terribly time consuming. Sure, I can assemble an M20; there are 2 E30 race cars at my shop right this moment. If you want your cylinder head put on and similar items, we can do that. If you want an engine rebuild, you might just want to buy one to your spec from Metric Mechanic. Certainly, we can install it for you. But full engine rebuilds are really just too time consuming for me to consider right now - I'd end up sending twenty far more profitable jobs away.Originally Posted by bigtoad
