Trunk wont open 2015 328i

Help my trunk lid wont open/ I checked the valet switch that is not it. Using the key fob on the right rear I can hear something trying to open. The button on driver side doesn't open trunk lid, or the key fob.
Anyone have this problem before?

Can you open the little door behind the rear seat arm rest and reach the emergency release? May need a broom handle or something.
