    E53 4.8iS SRS Issue

    Hi All
First ever post so Hello from the UK.

Got a SRS issue with my E53 4.8iS that I hope someone can help with.

A few days ago my Fasten Seat Belt warning came on with the annoying Bing Bong.
Strangely it goes off after I have driven half a mile.

Thought it would be a dodgy sensor in the seats or belts.

Scanned the car with my Topdon Phoenix and it could not communicate with the SRS Module.

Tried it with ISTA+ and sure enough not comms with SRS just a strange module on the Topology shown in Red. Can't remember exactly what it said.

Tried to manually scan SRS with both and neither can see the SRS Module.

I assume the module is dead but I am not getting an AIRBAG warning on the dash.

    Any ideas?

    Regards Rob

Do you have anything on the front passenger seat? For example, a bag or briefcase with a little weight can set off the passenger seat mat. Either set it on the floor or place it in the rear seat or cargo area.
