    Code 5f95 EHC:Drain Valve

    2008 535xi e61. Has anyone had this code? I have level suspension messages in dash and My rear is raised and stuck in the highest position. Above normal. Won’t go down. Also had bad ride hight sensor code. Replaced sensor and the code disappeared. 5f95 is still there. Compressor is new block valve is new filter hose is new. Any help would be appreciated.

    At least it should be an easy fix. Will keep this in mind since I still maintain the 2008 535xi wagon with 155k miles that I gave to a friend a couple of years ago. I have to do some work this spring on it — oil change, transfer case oil, and the lift gate is not going all the way up without help.

    can anyone give me a heads up on how to take this socket housing apart to release the pins? there is a vid on youtube but not for this style.

    So here is an update that will hopefully be helpful to someone else. Turns out I also had a bad banjo bolt on the blue air line going into the block valve. If your car is sagging to one side or maybe even both, check the brass bolts on the block valve. There is a rubber at the bottom of the nut right above the threads that can dry out and brake. See the top bolt in the picture the bolt in the bottom is new the one in the top is the old one. No rubber ring on the old one. This will not allow the bolt to be tightened properly and let air out. If you try and tighten the bolt and it keeps Turing, it will feel like the threads in the valve are stripped but it might not be. It could be the rubber is bad on the bolt like mine was. When I took the bolt off, the rubber was super dry and split. This was preventing the bag from holding air. For preventive maintenance and if your system is still original, it’s a god idea to check these bolts to make sure the rubber on the bolt is still good.
