Update: I pulled the door apart again and found that one of my connections had 2 pins that were not in placed on the female clip. Reset the connection and now all is well. Turns out there is no reprogramming needed.
I had the driver’s side soft close motor go bad on my 2013 BMW 650i convertible F12. I bought a new lock actuator with soft close motor and replaced it. It seems that my car is now confused and thinks the drivers door is locked when the rest of the car unlocked, and the auto up/down with the driver’s window wont work. I called the dealer and they said when replacing the Driver door lock/soft close you will also need to reprogram the module. I live over 2 hrs away from the nearest dealer, and I have TIS/ISTA+ up to 2017 downloaded on my laptop so I figured I would try to remedy this myself. I also have a Launch x431 pros mini but not sure if it can program this.
Can someone step me through how to reprogram the module? I was going to try to see if I could stumble my way though it, but figured if someone could help me skip the learning curve, I would appreciate it. Not sure which system to go into in TIS/ISTA+ or the Launch x431. Thanks for any productive input.
