    adding coolant temp sensor

I'm thinking of adding a real coolant temp sensor. any guesses where to add the temp sensor? I have the aluminum thermostat housing, was thinking of tapping a fitting there or adding an inline fitting to the upper radiator hose.

VDO has 240, 250, and 280 F water gauges. Anyone?
