Hi all!
My name is Enrique, I'am new in the forum.
I' am looking for a Z3 hardtop (original or Hamann) for my 1997 2.8.
Let me know if someone has one for sale.
It will have to be shipped to Miami FL.
Thanks in advance and I hope I can collaborate with the forum too.
Enrigque,
You may want to add a Want-to-Buy (WTB) entry in the classified sections found here

"You can't sign away negligence."
Seems like one comes up for sale about every 2-3 months, between (very rough numbers $1700 and $3500 A big consideration is the mounting hardware that goes inside the car to accept the top. Most tops don't have it with them. Costs around $400 (again, don't quote me on that number). Here's a thread with refs. Mike is the hardtop guy. : https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...rdtop+hardware
There is a Facebook page dedicated to folks buying and selling Z3 hardtops. If OP is serious, be willing to drive to get it. Tops are in demand and a seller will not go to the trouble of shipping a fragile bulky item unless you are willing to pay a huge premium.
The other option is to search for roadsters for sale that have a top and try to deal it separately. The big plus is that the mounting kit will also be there.

If you truly live in Buenos Aires then you may be in for a rough ride.
How bad do you want it?
Even in the US where I would say it's ... "easiest" to get one.... people are asking idiot-money for hem.
Personally I like them, they make the Z3 look even whackier than it already does, but asking prices around here are the same as you would pay for a Z3 ... as in the whole car.
If I wanted a hard roof that much, I would have bought some sort of coupe.
Zed's dead baby. Zed's dead.
If you can't get one in Buenos Aires, an alternative is a top-liner, unless hardtop appearance is the thing you're after. BMW made some. I made my own for my previous Z3. A lot of work, but worth it. Car was much quieter and less AZ heat coming in. From the pictures I've seen, I'd say mine was more complete than the BMW ones. In terms of insulation, I'd say it provides about 1/3 to 1/2 of the heat and noise reduction that a hardtop does.

ClintJG has one, and he's up around DC somewhere.
So they do exist Stateside.
About as rare as the hamann hardtop, there are two or three of those around.
White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.
I like Coupes.
