I'm posting here hoping that someone could point me into the right direction.
I'm currently in the process of trying to learn WinOLS (to stop relying on specific software that display the tables "ready to be tuned", such as romraider or ecmtitanium for e.g., and hopefully be able to tune cars using the "universal" solution that is WinOLS).
The thing is, I found tutorials about how to use its functionalities and whatnot, and some tutorials that show how to recognize / translate VAG/Bosch ECU tables, but none that are based on a Siemens ECU, specifically the MS42. Why MS42? Because I have tuned it using romraider, and I know what to look for in terms of Y/X axis' values (which in turn could help me identify / convert Z axis's values).
I'm generally open to ANY suggestion regarding how to learn to interpret / convert values displayed by WinOLS and turn them into something that makes sense for tuning a car (the usual: fuel, ignition, sensors, VVT...).

5spd E46 "3XX": 328i engine, 330i Intake and exhaust, CAI, 323i diff.
I use genuine WinOLS daily for all sorts of BMW ecus, and the hardest to define will be the old Siemens ecus. They do not follow Bosch map definition logic at all, so you can throw those methods in the wastebin.
I would not use any of the Siemens ecus at all if the goal is to learn WinOLS. The definitions are different, the data conversion is always challenging, and there isn't as much support. The tunerpro definitions for MS42 are quite complete and do the same thing.
Bosch ecus are a better place to start.

Thank you 328 Power 04. Yeah the thing is hard and while it's easy to find what seem to be the useful maps in 2D view, making sense of the numbers clearly had me defeated lol.
I'll look up some Bosch maps and try to do the same with winOLS / have a look at tunerpro. Whatever is a universal tool that allows to read /modifiy a bin works for me.
This also reminds me that other than romraider, I'm a complete noob lol.
