Hi All,
I am looking at the e36 for sale and seeing this:
Driver's front:
dfjackpt.jpeg
Passenger's front:
passfrjackpt.jpeg
Driver's rear:
drjackpt.jpeg
Passenger's rear:

How bad is it? It looks like driver's side front may need to be welded. Any idea what would it cost to weld it up?
Thank you,
Max
It doesn't look terrible, mostly surface rust even the front drivers.
So just so you know the jack points rust faster because the pucks lock in water/moisture, leaving them out will allow it to dry out much faster.
Normally I do not jack at those points but I do put jack stands under them cushioned with a piece of rubber (from a tire).
If you like the car and the paint is good and the engine is healthy (compression test) I would buy it.

Thank you Eric. I am glad to hear it. Yes, the car is exactly what I want and it has good paint. It is relatively far away, but it is worth the PPI/trip. If everything checks out, I will definitely buy it.

Cool, post pics here if you get it!

It is two day's drive away from me in winter storage until spring, so it will be a while until i get to actually see it. Fingers crossed.
