Hello!
I did a search for this question, to no avail.
I m a recent owner of a 2015 740LD and i drive long distance with it. I mostly drive in the ECO+ setting to save fuel.
On the instrument cluster, i have found most everything explained in the manual or online...EXCEPT the center area above the time, temp, mileage info. Please see attached pic, but i have no idea what this is indicating. Some times the lines are all lit up, other times 2 or 3 lines are lit up and the others are not.
What does this indicate?
I do not have the cruise control radar for spacing of my vehicle to to other vehicles, nor do i have lane centering. The below pic is a generic pic i found online, and i cant circle the area i would like to find out, so i apologize.
Any help would be appreciated.
Are you referring to the area in the pic below where the white arrow is pointing? If yes, I believe that is your dynamic efficiency display when you are in Eco Pro mode. Take note of the blue colored numerical integer that represents the amount of mileage you have achieved by driving efficiently.

You didn’t respond if the arrow was pointing to the area you had a question about…but if it is…this is discussed in the owners manual. I found it in the section that explains Eco Pro in the instrument cluster display. And it appears my assumption in my reply above was correct. It indicates how well you are doing in Eco Pro mode if more lights illuminate:i have found most everything explained in the manual or online...EXCEPT the center area above the time, temp, mileage info. From my f06 & f15 owners manual:
