Thanks to the Asses in Arizona

Thanks to the Asses in Arizona for meeting up for breakfast and helping to fix our recently acquired E28 535is. Just a reminder of how great the community is!

First up is the E28 535is at pick up.

Goal is to use it for a showcase of parts and to help develop things for the E28 and E34 communities, it will be at The Vintage in May. Car had a terrible rich condition which created a wonderful James Bond esque smoke screen after idling or in stop in go traffic. . . Sorry LA. Due to the terrible first 400 miles out of LA to Phoenix and 12 mpg combined gas mileage we reached out to the community and received a great response.

We met up the next morning in Scottsdale and had a good breakfast and discussed our issues and the needs of the E34 and other classic chassis communities. Oh and more importantly everyone helped fix our wounded E28. Special thanks to NikosX for helping to coordinate and Phyverindustries for the parts and wrenching.

Was also great to meet Cole Horchler and see his supercharged 540i 6 speed with its titanium exhaust and our 340x30 4 Piston Road Brake System. Dannyzabolotny was awesome with trouble shooting and input for more E34 parts and failures he's documented at his shop, Heritage Motorworks.

Was a great stop and wish we had more time, looking forward to seeing more of you on our trip from Colorado to North Carolina in May for The Vintage.

Looks good for such an old car in the LA sun. Miss hanging out with the AZ boys too, it's been a while!

Maybe I should take a few days off in early May to drive to Colorado. Saddle you with an extra car to take to the Vintage

I enjoyed seeing that stuff you posted on IG. Will be cool to see what happens with this E28.

I also saw the fan clutch/tensioner(?) wrench you recently posted about, looked great.
