I’m having a crank no start issue on my 05/93.

I ruled it down to the ews system. I got a plug in chip from 22rpd for ews delete and I cut the wire from pin 66 which was a purple and black wire I found in the x20.

It still won’t start and the fuel pump is still quiet.

Did I do something wrong?

I don't have the answer to your question. But you didn't have to cut the wire. I did this video in-case I ever had to undo something. For reference: Just in-case you have to pull more pins. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBYC3yyPrO4

It may be possible that the ews wasn't the problem to begin with
