I’ve been having an issue with a fast amount of oil being burnt. going down a quart every week or so and it’s frustrating to not have a clue what to check. I have a 1995 e34 530i. I had found my pcv was bad and just replaced it, as i was replacing it there was lots of oil in my intake and i wiped down most of it but this is the second day after i did this and it’s still blowing blue smoke, is it possible that there’s oil still getting into the intake somehow, i noticed that one of the lines on the pcv was looking a bit rough could that be the issue?
Give it time. There is the potential for a lot of oil to collect inside that manifold. You'll not get it out by blotting from the open back.
