Hello, first of all sorry for my bad english. Would like to build an E32 735i Turbo. Now I've encountered a problem. Which intercooler can I use to keep the climate. I would be very happy about tips and pictures
In my E34 540i I had to get rid of the AC condenser as it would basically rub on the intercooler. In Australian summers I think about the 30kg of weight saving, but it doesnt help
BMW’s
90 E34 M5
84 E24 M635csi standalone ecu with coil on plug
94 E34 540i/6 SC 5-17psi Flex fuel/standalone ecu
97 Z3 2.8
97 E36 M3 euro SC still u/c
OTHERS
11 Audi S5 APR stg2
19 Volkswagen Amarok V6
If there is not space for an air to air unit and piping, consider an air to water unit. I don’t know the E32 engine bay, but BMW has changed to air to water units on newer cars, probably because they are easier to fit.
Thanks for the tips I'll do some crafting. Of course I will post my solution to her
I know seems legit just put a s55 stock water to air onto a n54. Its supsed to be an upgrade from a very large front mount they did run. Could be a viable option? The water core is very thin and would fit.

I built a s52 powered e39 . No bumper trimming. Not sure about your 7 series. This intercooler replaced the pusher fan. Thats it. Custom brackets to mount the intercooler to the core support.
I used my old Extreme turbo systems intercooler off my 500hp saab 9000 build. Thin 2.5" core intercooler. Giant surface area. Rated to 710 hp. Similar cooling capacity to a tread stone 1235. I believe its some where in the 600mm by 400mm core size... like 24 by 16? Amazing build quality.

Its a giant cooler. But fit with no cutting, kept the a.c. and a thick aftermarket triple pass radiator. flexilite 16" low boy and ebay shroud. Mounted the puller fan inside the shroud to gain a extra 1/2" to the a.c. pully.
