Back when I owned my 1996 328is e36, it had a gorgeous set of chrome plated style 30 wheels with a matching but unplated spare. The snow and salt did a number on the plating around the bead, and I eventually replaced them because I couldn't keep a good bead seal and was constantly airing up the tires. But I still have the rims. Questions:
We're these factory originals? I dont think I've run across another set on an e36. Is it more likely that an original owner had them plated at some point?
If these were originals, are they potentially worth something given the apparent rarity?
Anyone ever tried to have rims replated?
Pictures below, ignore the decade of dirt from storage.

Every journey to a forbidden end begins with the first step; and the danger of such a step by the federal government in the direction of taking over the powers of the states is that the end of the journey may find the states so despoiled of their powers as to reduce them to little more than geographical subdivisions of the national domain.
