Does N54 engine use a diff thermostat then N53&N52 engines?

I have 2008 535xi 6AT, just replaced both turbos, turbo coolant & oil lines, and waterpump and thermostat.

My N54 has been intermittently overheating to which I believe to be the fault of the thermostat.

NOW before I go through the painful chore of replacing said thermostat I need to know; is the N54s thermostat unique to it, or is a thermostat for the N52 or N53 also shares its compatibility with the N54 as well?

Trying to distinguish a faulty thermostat to a non compatible thermostat?

Go to the www.realoem.com and enter the last 7 characters of your car’s vehicle identification number. Hit enter and bookmark the page. Scroll down to engine to find the correct part # for the thermostat. Also, click on the part # (it’s a link) to see what other part #’s are suitable.
