Static noise from all speakers when car wakes up

Not sure what else to check before I start replacing things. There is a static noise that comes from all speakers starting from when the car wakes up (open door. Unlock car. Etc) and continues while driving. Does not change in loudness when volume is turned up or down.

I’ve “reset” the head unit by holding the power button for 20 seconds and the sound goes away when the head unit turns off but comes back on when things turn back on.

I’m assuming it’s the amp or the head unit or possible just some exposed wire but not sure how to troubleshoot next without just replacing things.

    Any ideas?

Car is 2010 335i no iDrive. Just regular head unit.

Hi - I have the same problem. It seems to go away when I turn the unit on or I cannot hear it. There is also a "ticking" sound like a pluse of some kind. I thought it might go away when I installed the Bavsound speakers, which are great BTW, but still there on start up and idle until the unit is turned on. I have no idea why. Good luck.
