Trying to chase down this battery draining issue on my '13 328i. All started when a few coins fell inside the cigarette lighter and some tiny sparks started flying (did not even know this could happen lol). Immediately, cigarette lighter fuse went out. Swapped it with a 20A in the engine bay and the cigarette lighter has power again and works fine. However since then, my car keeps giving an error for battery discharging while stopped and have no idea what else can be causing this. I do have the proximity door handles and trunk release on my car. That has started acting up. When i approach the car, front door handles do not work and trunk does not kick open. Once I unlock the car with the remote, the door handles and trunk kick works again. Assuming im having a discharging issue with the proximity function of the car.
Been searching and cant find what fuses would be associated with the proximity function of the car.
Any help or advise is appreciated. TIA
Update: Pull driver door handle and unplugged CAS from it, let it sit, and still getting battery discharging while stopped. Battery is dying out completely after 2 days of sitting.
Can anyone chime in on what i am missing?
